NCT 127 to introduce the first K-Pop print novel ‘Limitless’

The world of graphic novels is about to welcome K-pop, as pop band NCT 127 is all set to launch soon their upcoming, first ever K-pop print novel ‘NCT 127: Limitless.’

As NME tabloid notes, NCT 127 and its labels SM Entertainment and Universal Music Group have teamed up with Z2 Comics on the new original graphic novel ‘NCT 127: Limitless.’ The novel is set to follow in the boyband in a “reality-crossing mystery” that will take place in both the real world and “new, surreal dreamscape” as they prepare for a sold-out concert in New York.

The new novel will be “presented in the manhwa format”, according to the Z2 Comics website and will be available in 10 different hardcovers – one for each member of the band, alongside a general cover with the full group. As the report notes, there will also be a ‘Deluxe Collectable Edition’ that includes a custom-designed slipcase, a certificate of authenticity, among other exclusives.

“The night before the concert, however, the group encounters mysterious dreams, thrusting Mark, Johnny, Taeyong, Jungwoo, and Doyoung in otherworldly scenarios,” 2Z Comics shared in a statement. “This ultimately creates a reality-crossing mystery that the five members, alongside Taeil, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan will unite to solve. As NCT 127 grapples with this enigma, they must overcome their fears in both the real world and this new, surreal dreamscape.”

The report further notes that the ‘Platinum Collectable Edition’ will add on one limited edition trading card, alongside a book signed by one member of NCT 127. “We’re overjoyed to unite with Z2 Comics to witness NCT 127 expand beyond the boundaries of music into graphic novels,” said NCT 127’s agency SM Entertainment. “NCT was designed as a project of unlimited potential, unrestrained by geography and formal boundaries.”

The new graphic novel is expected to launch in late summer 2023. It will be available in both English and Korean. Pre-orders are now available on the Z2 Comics website.
