Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of a younger Hema Malini, marking the occasion with a love emoji and the hashtag #HemaMalini.

The photo purports to show the Dream Girl actress in her twenties during a dance performance. Hema Malini was seen making a dancing position for the photograph while dressed in traditional costume and wearing impeccable makeup and jewellery. For those who are unaware, the actress is a skilled classical dancer who specialises in Bharatnatyam. From films to live performances, the actor-turned-politician never shied away from demonstrating her dance abilities in front of an audience.

Jackie Shroff and Hema Malini, two prominent performers from the 1980s, collaborated on films such as Kudrat Ka Kanoon. It depicts the narrative of Dr. Vijay Verma (Jackie Shroff), who saves a worker from some goons only to be framed in a murder case and incarcerated. As the situation worsens, Vijay's daughter is slain and his wife is forced to flee the area. This is when Advocate Bharti Mathur (Hema Malini) comes to the family's aid, promising to bring them justice.

Hema Malini, born in Tamil Nadu, started her acting career in 1961 in the South Indian film industry. She made her Bollywood debut in 1968 with Raj Kapoor’s Sapno Ka Saudagar and gained widespread recognition for her performance in Seeta Aur Geeta. Over the years, she starred in several iconic films such as Sholay, Dream Girl, Naseeb, Kranti, Satte Pe Satta, and Johny Mera Naam.

After a successful stint in films, Hema transitioned to politics by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. She entered the political arena during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, representing the Mathura constituency, which she continues to serve today.
