Sanjay Gupta's ambitious project Jazbaa, is touted to be one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2015 considering it also marks the comeback of former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan into films. The thriller which is said to be a remake of the Korean film Seven Days is also said to star Chandan Roy Sanyal as the antagonist.
According to filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, Chandan's role will be dark, psychotic and edgy. He also further added that his scenes will mostly be shot with Aishwarya and will be confrontational. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the role of a lawyer whereas the rest of the lead star cast includes Irrfan Khan as a suspended cop and Shabana Azmi as a professor. The film will also star Siddhant Kapoor of Kaminey fame as Shabana's son who is under psychiatric treatment. We also hear that John Abraham will be seen in a cameo as a gangster in the film.
Produced under Sanjay Gupta's banner White Feather films in association with Essel Vision, Jazbaa is said to premiere at Cannes Film Festival.
