Earlier it was reported that veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan would be receiving the National Award along with Kangna Ranaut, who has been making headlines of late for all the wrong reasons. Well the event that was held earlier this week in Delhi witnessed the who's who of the industry from Kabir Khan to Sanjay Leela Bhansali in attendance.

Apart from them others who collected their awards at the ceremony include actress Kalki Koechlin, who received the Special Jury Award for Margarita, With A Straw and filmmaker Kabir Khan, who received Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award.

Also in attendance were the families of both the award winners Amitabh Bachchan and Kangna Ranaut. Posting an image with them on his blog Bachchan added, "in the presence of the family and the blessings of Ma and Babuji .. who must be smiling 'up there'." While accompanying Kangna was her father Amardeep Ranaut who stated that Kangna winning the award made him very happy and proud. The 28 year old actress later posed with her family at the function.

Though Kangna has been in the news over the past few days for all the wrong reasons, the actress seemed pretty jovial while receiving the award.
