Star Plus’ show ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka’, which is inspired by the Turkish drama ‘Fatmagul’, features Pankhuri Awasthy in a lead role. The promo features Amitabh questioning the hypocritical standards of society as victim shaming rape survivors. The show deals with the topic of gang rape and the societal pressures the survivor faces after the case becomes a talk of the town.

 

Reportedly, the show is an important part of the ‘Nayi Soch’ campaign kick started by the channel. Besides the megastar, other superstars associated with the same include Aamir Khan as well as Shah Rukh Khan.
