Anurag Kashyap to do a Hollywood film

Anurag Kashyap's magnum opus Bombay Velvet has been postponed but the filmmaker is gearing up for his next project and interestingly it will be a Hollywood venture.

 

Though Anurag firmly maintains that the scripting of this Hollywood film is still in a preliminary stage, we hear that this film will be a dark crime thriller. However, Anurag Kashyap mentioned that his next will be a big project and a lot of development is happening currently on it but he refused to divulge any more details. We also hear that the film will go on floor in July next year and will be produced by a western studio and it will be extensively shot abroad.

Right now, Anurag Kashyap maintained that he wants to focus only on Bombay Velvet which is a period thriller shot in Sri Lanka. The film which is based on Bombay in the 60s has gone on floor and almost half of the film has been completed.

 

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Phantom Productions, Bombay Velvet stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Raveena Tandon among others and it is slated to release in May 2015.
