Defamation case filed against Anil Kapoor by MHADA

 

Of late, Anil Kapoor was spotted endorsing Ekta World developers claiming that they have been selling apartments in rates lower than MHADA. Now the actor has been caught in a legal soup owing to the same as MHADA has decided to take legal action against the construction company and the Bollywood star.Defamation case filed against Anil Kapoor by MHADA

 

Anil Kapoor has been appearing in the advertising campaigns of the Ekta World who even compared prices of their apartments with the ones of MHADA on their website. In fact, after reports of the same started circulating, reportedly they even spoke about being transparent in their price rates. However, soon after the same, MHADA officials demanded an apology from Mr. Kapoor as well as Ekta developers for their statement. They also added that this move of the construction company has damaged their reputation as well as violated regulations of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). Bharat Bastewad, Secretary of MHADA mentioned that neither the apology has been rendered nor have they responded to the legal notice. Hence they have decided to file a defamation case against Anil Kapoor as well as Ekta Developers.

 

On the other hand, CMD Ekta World, Ashok Mohanani maintained that the given information is misleading and that they have already replied to the legal notices through their solicitors Wadia Ghandy.
