Eesha Koppikhar's ode to Maharashtra

The week long Nashik Film Festival concluded with much fanfare and glitterati. The grand finale had performances by popular Bollywood celebrities like Eesha Koppikhar Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Sameera Reddy, Amisha Patel and Shaan.
Eesha Koppikhar's ode to Maharashtra
Eesha Koppikhar had the crowds going crazy with her performance to 'Kombdi Palali', the Marathi super hit song which was the inspiration behind the current flavour of the season 'Chikni Chameli'. The Nashik Film Festival's grand finale that took place over the weekend had a crowd of over a lakh on the last day. Eesha, who is proud of her Marathi roots, decided to give the city what they exactly wanted - a traditional Marathi folk dance on 'Kombdi Palali'.


The actress enjoyed performing to the crowd, "I had such a blast at the festival, dancing to 'Kombdi Palali' was great fun. I'm a huge fan of the track and doing a traditional Marathi folk dance on it was simply superb. Also with Nashik having a predominantly Maharashtrian population, the track was much appreciated and all in all it was a great event." Dancing to the song was also Marathi Mulgi Eesha's ode to Maharashtra and Nashik, the actress further elaborates, "Dancing to such a track was an ode to Nashik and Maharashtra from their own Marathi Mulgi."


Apart from the Bollywood folk, there was also Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal who appreciated the actress' effort and complimented her on her act.
