Imran Khan to star in Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola

One may recall that Vishal Bhardwaj and Fox Star Studios had announced a comedy film titled Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola a short while ago which was to star Ajay Devgn and Anushka Sharma in the lead. However Ajay opted out of the film and the makers were on the lookout for another male lead.

Now the makers have finalized Imran Khan to play the main lead in the film. This would be the first time that Imran and Anushka would be paired together in a film. Vishal was impressed with Imran after watching his films like Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and thought he could suit the part. However the script would now be tweaked a bit keeping in mind Imran's image
