It's a known fact that Karan Johar had penned the script of KAL HO NAA HO keeping Kareena Kapoor in mind. Reportedly, the two friends turned foes when Kareena asked for a certain fee for the film, which the Johars found too high. That's when Preity Zinta stepped in the project.
