Mahesh Bhatt to make acting debut

He has been a name to contend with in the industry be it for his direction, his scriptwriting abilities or his production skills, Mahesh Bhatt has done it all. Now we hear that the veteran filmmaker is all set to turn actor in debutante director Mukul Misra's film Siddhartha.

Apparently the film produced by Prabhat Pandey, which is a story of a man's search for truth after his life is shattered by betrayals features Bhatt as a bald Buddhist monk, while Shivam Bhargav will play the title role and Shazahn Padamsee his love interest. Interestingly, though the role seems more of a cameo it is said to be an integral part of the film, considering that it is Bhatt's character that helps Shivam on his journey.

 

Bhatt is expected to leave for Manali on March 5, for a 10 day shoot.
