Mahesh Manjrekar planning a sequel to Vaastav?:

The industry is buzzing with the news that Mahesh Manjrekar is planning a sequel to his immensely successful VAASTAV. According to sources, the story will begin from where it ended, with the young kid growing up and, like his father, also taking to crime. Who else but Manjrekars favourite actor Sanjay Dutt is expected to play the lead role once again. But the talented director is caught unawares when I ask him to verify the news. Yes, its true that I was planning to make a sequel. But I have put the plans on hold. Its because of the script. I am stuck midway, he states. There is also talk that Manjrekar is contemplating making a kiddie film, titled COOTCHIE KOO. But this time he bursts out laughing. No, I cannot make a film that begins with a title like that, he tells me. Changing the topic, he adds, I must tell you something interesting. The film that I am shooting right now is my best effort to date. Its TERA MERA SAATH RAHEN (Ajay Devgan) and weve almost wrapped up 80 per cent of the films shooting. Its one great film. Coming from a director of the stature of Manjrekar, means a lot!
