Mercedes Benz ropes in Bollywood celebs

The German automotive giant Mercedes Benz is on a mission to dominate the Indian car market with its latest edition. And in a bid to reach out to the Indian masses, the manufacturers have roped in young Bollywood, Cricket and Fashion personalities.

 

The luxury car makers have planned to launch a slew of new generation compact cars in India over the next few years. For this, they have roped in writer Chetan Bhagat, actor-director Farhan Akhtar, cricketer Irfan Pathan and fashion designer Masaba Gupta to drive sales.

Mercedes yesterday unveiled one of the concept A-Class cars as well as launched the latest M Class series at the 11th Auto Expo in Delhi that exemplifies Benz's new design language.
