Nawazuddin Siddiqui says he never wanted to be a Messiah, he just wanted to act

Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in Thackeray, portraying the role of Balasaheb Thackeray. Speaking about his passion for acting, Nawazuddin said that he never wanted to me a messiah, but he always just wanted to act. Be it small role in a drama or a film, his passion was always just to act. He admitted to not being a great actor back then, but he turned his passion into madness and did not think twice before leaving his profession for acting.

He also expressed his views about Balasaheb Thackeray and how his anger was justified when the government failed the Marathi Manoos. When the mills in Maharashtra were shut overnight leaving most of the Marathi youth unemployed, the government failed to take necessary actions and that is when Balasaheb took charge. He says that Balasaheb did everything in his power to help direct his community in the right direction which helped him gain the respect and affection from his people.
