Now sequel to 'Khichdi - The Movie'

The hugely popular TV show called KHICHDI was made into a film called KHICHDI - THE MOVIE. Keen to make the brand stronger, its makers are now planning to make a sequel to the film. Yes, you read it right - KHICHDI - THE MOVIE will now have a sequel. Jamnadas Majethia [J.D.], who produced the film, confirms the news, "We're working on it [sequel]. The scripting is in progress right now," he divulges.

 

So what prompted J.D. to make a sequel? "Though KHICHDI - THE MOVIE did well at the box-office - we recovered our costs and even made decent profits - a section of the media never gave the film its due. We kept wondering whether to go ahead with its sequel or abort the plans, but after the film was telecast on TV, the feedback we received was so hugely positive and overwhelming that we were encouraged to go ahead with its sequel," J.D. reveals.

The title as well as the star cast of the sequel will be decided once J.D. and writer-director Aatish Kapadia are through with its scripting.
