Pankaj Kapur plays father to real life daughter Sanaah in Shaandar

Vikas 'Queen' Bahl's Shandaar is a film on a destination wedding being shot in Leeds. It brings together the never-before jodi of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as the groom and the bride.

 

It also brings together father and son Pankaj Kapur and Shahid Kapoor together for the first time.

We all know all of this. What we don't know is that Pankaj Kapoor plays his own real-life daughter Sanaah's father in Shandaar.

 

Says a source from the location in England, "Pankajji has two daughters in Shandaar, Alia Batt and his real-life daughter Sanaah Kapoor. He plays his real life son Shahid's father-in-law in the film."

 

The source further reveals that Alia and Sanaah are like real sisters on the sets.

 

"The two girls get along really well. Since Sanaah is new, Alia looks after her while Sanaah's father Pankaj and brother Shahid are not seen to be going out of their way. Maybe because they want Sanaah to be a true trouper and not a mollycoddled baby on location."
