Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri to lead Dhadak 2; set to release in theatres on November 22, 2024
Several reports earlier suggested that a sequel to Karan Johar's production in 2018 Dhadak is in the works, and it might star Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. Now, it has been confirmed that the two actors are indeed starring in Dhadak 2. The film will be released in cinemas on November 22, 2024, with debutante director Shazia Iqbal at the helm.
Siddhant Chaturvedi took to social media on Monday, May 27 and wrote, "एक राजा, एक रानी, एक कहानी - २ धड़कनें|
#Dhadak2 in cinemas 22nd November 2024."
Dhadak, which marked the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and introduced Ishaan Khatter, was a remake of the critically acclaimed Marathi film Sairat. The original film explored themes of love across social barriers and resonated deeply with audiences.
The film promises a captivating narrative that explores the complexities of love while challenging societal norms. The movie explores barriers of class and status stitched in the minds of societies, underscoring a narrative of love that can never be fulfilled. Or can it?
Production houses Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures have joined forces to create this much-awaited film.
