Box Office: Aamir Khan’s Dangal cross the Rs. 1600 cr gross mark; collects Rs. 1636.49 cr

The Nitesh Tiwari directorial Dangal that stars Aamir Khan along with newcomers Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra seems to be near unstoppable at the box office. If that wasn’t all, the film which witnessed a rather delayed release in the Chinese market has been doing stellar business there as well. Dangal that released a few weeks back in China has managed to retain its hold at the box office despite new releases hitting screens. In fact, the film that has been raking in the moolah at the Chinese box office has now emerged as the first Indian film to rival the collections of other big ticket Hollywood releases within the territory. Now after 24 days running at the Chinese box office, the total gross collections of Dangal have managed to breach the Rs. 1600 crore mark, with the total gross collections of the film being pegged at a staggering Rs. 1636.49 cr.

 

While Dangal that has raked in Rs. 888.15 cr from China, Rs. 716 from the worldwide market (excluding China and Tiwan) and another Rs. 32.34 cr from Taiwan, the film has overtaken the total gross collections of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that had collected Rs. 1530 cr by a massive margin.
