Box Office: Jagga Jasoos drops on Day 4, brings Rs. 4.05 cr

 

Jagga Jasoos dropped by more than 50% on Monday as it could bring in only Rs. 4.05 cr more. In order to stay in contention for rest of the week, the film needed to collect at least Rs. 5 crore on Monday. Even that would have been a low number, considering the fact that Friday wasn't too high at Rs. 8.57 crore. Still, a drop in the range of 40% could still have been digested. Here, the film has seen a sharp decline and that pretty much closes the gate for the Anurag Basu affair.Box Office: Jagga Jasoos drops on Day 4, brings Rs. 4.05 cr

 

Jagga Jasoos has now accumulated Rs. 37.22 crore in four days and hence it is no more in contention for a Rs. 50 crore Week One. That was a bare minimum need for the film to have a chance to register at least decent lifetime collections. However, there isn't much that the film can now hope to add on in the second week, given the fact that Munna Michael is arriving as well and that too in a big way.

 

There was a flicker of hope for the film when Saturday grew very well. However that was just a false hope being ignited, which is quite disappointing for both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The film did have its merits but audience at large do not seem to be too enticed about giving it a dekko. That's disappointing since the film has elements in it to make for a big screen entertainer at least for the kids.
