Box Office: Lipstick under My Burkha collects Rs. 6.29 cr in Week 2; total collections Rs.17.25 cr

 

The Alankrita Shrivastava directed film Lipstick Under My Burkha starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Aahana Kumra, Ratna Pathak, Vikrant Massey and Sushant Singh released two weeks ago. After facing censorship trouble initially in India the film which was lauded overseas hit screens opened to mixed reactions. However despite this the film took off on a good note and even witnessed growth over its opening weekend at the domestic box office.Box Office: Lipstick under My Burkha collects Rs. 6.29 cr in Week 2; total collections Rs.17.25 cr

 

If that wasn’t all in its second week running, despite facing competition from newer releases, Lipstick Under My Burkha continued to hold its own and even witnessed growth on its second weekend. Now after collecting Rs. 3.76 cr on its second weekend Lipstick Under My Burkha managed to rake in a further Rs. 2.53 cr more on the following weekdays.

 

With this, the total collections of Lipstick Under My Burkha after its two week run in cinemas stands at Rs. 17.25 cr. However, considering that the Shah Rukh Khan – Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal hits screens today, Lipstick Under My Burkha is expected to see a dip in collections.
