Box Office: Noor collects 50 lakhs* on Wednesday

 

Noor collected Rs. 50 lakhs* on Wednesday and with this the total has come to Rs. 7.42 crore*. The film won't reach Rs. 8 crore in its first week and by the look of things, this is where it would eventually stop since Baahubali 2 is practically arriving on all screens this Friday.Box Office: Noor collects 50 lakhs* on Wednesday

 

The film is one of the biggest commercial disappointments ever as it joins other films with A list actors that have failed to touch the Rs. 10 crore mark, most notable being Riteish Deshmukh's Bangistan and Abhishek Bachchan's Game.

 

Still, it is extremely rare when a film goes through such a fate and hence it seems very unlikely that in near future there would be a repeat of such commercial response for any major film. Last few weeks have been quite disappointing for Bollywood, what with Noor and before that Begum Jaan and Phillauri not earning much of a moolah either.

 

The industry definitely deserves better!
