Yash Raj Film's Sultan starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma that released on July 6 opened to a thunderous response. The film which generated immense hype and has been one of the most keenly awaited releases of 2016 has managed to post stunning opening day box- office figures.

 

In this box office report, we take a look at the Opening Day collections of Sultan while comparing them to that of previously released films of 2016. Not surprisingly, Sultan has taken the top slot as the Highest Opening Day grosser of 2016 collecting Rs. 36.54 cr at the box-office.
