The Kashmir Files Box Office: Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial survives Khooni Monday test; shows 323% growth and claims the no. 1 spot

The Vivek Agnihotri directed film The Kashmir Files has been unstoppable since its release last week on Friday. After drawing in Rs. 3.55 cr. on its opening day the business of the film saw growth in collections on its second day with Rs. 8.50 cr. more coming in. On its third day running the collections of The Kashmir Files witnessed a phenomenal growth of 325.35% from its first-day business with a staggering Rs. 15.10 cr. coming in. Now on its first Monday, the business of the film has managed to hold steady, passing the dreaded Khooni Monday test with flying colours.

As per reports, The Kashmir Files which saw an increase in the total number of screens and shows over its opening week has managed to sustain the business. While expectations as per advance booking and predictions estimated that The Kashmir Files would likely see its first Monday collections hovering around the Rs. 16 cr., the film managed to draw in Rs. 15.05 cr.  Interestingly, The Kashmir Files has managed this feat despite the limited promotions, non-holiday release, and of course facing stiff competition at the box office in the form of Radhe Shyam and Gangubai Kathiawadi. In fact, in terms of growth, The Kashmir Files has seen a growth of nearly 323% from its first-day collections.

 

Given the current growth the business of the film that has already exceeded the lifetime collections of The Tashkent Files, is likely to become one of the highest grossers of the year. As per trade predictions if the business of The Kashmir Files maintains momentum the overall business of the film could easily cross the Rs. 150 cr. if not the Rs. 200 cr. mark at the domestic box office.
