Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 registers highest all-time opening day at the overseas box office

Yash Raj Films’ latest outing Tiger 3 has registered an excellent opening in India by amassing Rs. 44.50 crores on its first day yesterday (November 12). The number appears even higher considering that it released on Diwali Laxmi Puja, a day where films generally don’t attract as many viewers as during other days of the Diwali period. But the Salman Khan starrer has passed this challenge with flying colours.

But that’s not all. Tiger 3 has also succeeded in roaring in the overseas market. As per information shared by Yash Raj Films, the movie has scored $ 5 million approximately on Day 1 in overseas. Hence, Tiger 3 has scored the highest-grossing overseas opening day in the history of Indian cinema (including paid previews).

 

Directed by Maneesh Sharma and also starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, Tiger 3 is the fifth film in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan. All the four films became major hits at the box office. Tiger 3 also has a great chance of adding the successful tag to its name.
