Sooryavanshi all set to a create a new box office record for Akshay Kumar – His All Time Highest 3rd Weekend collections
The Rohit Shetty directed film Sooryavanshi has fast become one of the most successful films of recent times. Starring Aksahy Kumar in the lead role, the film which opened to a thunderous response from the critics and audience alike has been raking in the moolah at the box office, despite the pandemic restrictions. Now, in its third weekend running, Sooryavanshi is all set to draw in a further Rs. 11-12 cr. The Day 15th (Third Friday) saw the movie collect Rs. 3.62 cr. at the India box office.
In this box office report we take a look at the third weekend collections of Sooryavanshi while comparing the same to Akshay Kumar’s previous releases. Expected to collect approx. Rs. 11-12 cr. on weekend three, Sooryavanshi will create a new record for Akshay by becoming his all-time highest third weekend grosser. In fact, the third weekend collections of Sooryavanshi will surpass the business of Akshay’s previous films like Mission Mangal that collected Rs. 9.09 cr., Good Newwz that collected Rs. 8.73 cr., Airlift that collected Rs. 8.41 cr., Kesari that collected Rs. 7.50 cr.
Currently, with the new release Bunty Aur Babli 2 receiving less than appreciative reviews, the business prospects of Sooryavanshi have brightened. In fact, trade predicts that Sooryavanshi will outperform the new release in the coming week.
