Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Box Office Estimate Day 1: Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer flirts with Rs. 15 crores on opening day

The smiles are back in Bollywood as Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has taken a very good start at the box office in India. The film has surpassed all projections as according to early estimates, the Luv Ranjan-directed romantic comedy is poised towards an opening day in the range of Rs. 14.25 to 15.75 crores. The business has seen a big jump from the 3 pm shows, and this is a result of positive responses from the patrons.

The movie is doing well across the country; however, the North India market has put up excellent numbers. The three national chains - PVR, Inox & Cinepolis - are looking to collect around Rs. 8 crores on the opening day. The chains have contributed approximately 55% to the total collections. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar benefitted in North markets due to the Holi Holiday, however, the biggest circuit, Maharashtra was a non-holiday.

 

If there was a holiday in Maharashtra, like the rest of the country, the opening day business would have easily been closer to the Rs. 18 crore number. There will be a dip in business on Thursday and Friday due to the working day, but the film should see big gains on Saturday and Sunday again.

 

If the film manages to hold above the double-digit number tomorrow, it is confirmed to hit a big number in its lifetime run. This is a good sign for Bollywood and there will be smiles in the industry if the film continues to trend well in the long run.
