25 Years Of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: Rani Mukerji calls Shah Rukh Khan ‘romance’: “He’s the most gracious man ever descended on planet”

25 years ago, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released in theatres and filmmaker Karan Johar forayed into direction. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and a special appearance by Salman Khan, the film has completed 25 years today. On October 15, a few special screenings were held in Mumbai to celebrate the big milestone of the movie. Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar surprised the audiences, who were reliving the movie, by visiting the theatres, Kajol missed the screening due to prior commitments to her work schedule.

Rani Mukerji joined Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar at one of the shows in Mumbai to surprise the theatre audiences. Addressing the crowd on Sunday night, Rani Mukerji said that she was 17 years old when she did the movie. “For Rahul to fall in love with Tina over Anjali. So, that’s only because of Karan. So, thank you Karan for that. I was 17 when I did this movie and today, my daughter’s turning 8, just like Sana (Saeed) on-screen, just like my daughter. So, because of KKHH, I’m a star today. Thank you all of you for loving us for so many years and please continue this love for the next 25 years,” the actress said.

 

 

 

She added, “Shah Rukh for me is romance itself, he’s love and I have loved Shah Rukh from the time I saw him the first time because he’s the most gracious man ever descended on planet.”

 

 

 

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a story that revolves around Rahul, Anjali and Tina. After reading the letter her mother (Tina played by Rani Mukerji) had written for her before she died after giving birth to her, Anjali (Sana Saeed) decides to bring together her widowed father, Rahul (SRK), with his true love who is also named Anjali (Kajol). The film also stars Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh, Reema Lagoo and Himani Shivpuri.
