Abhishek Bachchan reveals how wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reacted to his 2 year BREAK from films

The last time we saw Abhishek Bachchan on the big screen it was in the 2016 film Housefull 3. Since then the actor has been on somewhat of a break from films. But, making his return, Abhishek signed the Anurag Kashyap film Manmarziyan. But it isn’t his comeback that caught our attention, instead it was his frank-speak in a recent interview that did. More specifically it was when Abhishek revealed how his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reacted to his two year break from films.

Talking about the same Abhishek added that Aishwarya was fine with it, but his parents Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan did seem a bit concerned. Detailing it further Abhishek Bachchan stated that he never really went ahead and said that he did not want to act anymore, instead he said he needed a break to change the kind of films he was doing at that time. This process of change, and constant searching for the right script took the actor two years, after which he finally found Manmarziyan.

 

Later talking more about how his family reacted to his hiatus Abhishek added that since he spoke to them constantly and walked them through his ideas they continued to remain supportive for the entire time.

 

Now back to films with Manmarziyan, Abhishek Bahchan will be seen playing a turbaned Sikh in the film. Besides him Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal will also be seen in the film that is being directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Aanand L Rai.
