Amitabh Bachchan shares an unseen family picture from the premiere of Sholay; says they watched the film till 3 am

On Friday, actor Amitabh Bachchan shared an unseen picture from the premiere of his classic film Sholay. In the picture, Amitabh Bachchan can be seen with wife Jaya Bachchan and his parents.

The actor took to twitter and wrote, "At Premiere of SHOLAY , 15th August 1975, at the Minerva .. Ma, Babuji, Jaya, a bow tied moi .. Jaya looking so pretty .. ! This was 35mm print, 70mm stereo was stuck in Customs ,& came out after premiere over .. a few of us stayed back and watched it again till 3 am !”

 

 

In the black and white picture, Amitabh Bachchan can be seen having a conversation with mother Teji Bachchan. The family is seen sitting inside the theatre and the picture was probably taken before the screening.

 

Sholay is a cult classic and the references from the film are used even today. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, the film also starred Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Amjad Khan and Sanjeev Kumar.
