Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared a humorous video featuring him and the late Amrish Puri recollecting the golden era of cinema.

On Wednesday, Anupam Kher took to Instagram and shared a throwback video of him singing a song along with late actor Amrish Puri at an event. They sang and laughed in the video as the track highlighted baldness. Sharing the same, Kher captioned in Hindi, “From memories: this song was sung at a stage show many years ago!! Made fun of bald people. How innocence was there in Amrish ji's smile!!! This was the golden period of relationships in movies! Relationships were easily made. And went on for a lifetime!!” He also added the hashtags - Amrish Puri, Anupam Kher, song and fun.

Soon after he shared the post, fans and industry friends poured their love in the comments section. Mahima Chaudhry commented, “Apse hum ne bhi himmat li.” Reacting to the post, a fan commented, “True anupam sir...pehle k rishte aur aaj k rishton meine bahut farak hain,” while another user wrote, “Sir, this industry has spoken least about late shri Amrish Puri ji, I genuinely feel he has not been give due credit.... I would request you to please once make a small live here to narrate something about him.. As an actor, as a human, behind the scenes with Amrish ji.”

 

Anupam and Amrish have worked in several hit films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Ram Lakhan, Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate among others.

 

Amrish Puri passed away on January 12, 2005, after a protracted illness. Despite the fact that Puri passed away 18 years ago, many who love movies still think fondly of him because of his timeless film presence.
