The Archies: Shah Rukh Khan praises trailer of Suhana Khan starrer: “Zoya has created such an innocent and pristine quality to the film”
Netflix India today launched the much-anticipated trailer of The Archies, a Zoya Akhtar spectacle produced by Tiger Baby, Graphic India, and Archie Comics, that transports the audience to the whimsical world of 1960s Riverdale, India. The trailer unfolds a musical narrative led by seven charming characters from the beloved Archie comics, steering through the retro alleys of love, friendship, and youthful aspirations. The film will mark the debut of Suhana Khan in the film industry. As a proud father, Shah Rukh Khan took to social media on Thursday to share the trailer and penned a lovely note for the team and director Zoya Akhtar.
Sharing the trailer on his Instagram account, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “A contemporary subject with timeless characters #TheArchies… thrown into a world that is very fable like. Zoya has created such an innocent and pristine quality to the film….maybe just like our world could be with a more responsible outlook towards the environment. All the best to the entire team involved with this sweet and meaningful fun film!”
With the release of the trailer, the door swings open wider, unveiling a deeper glimpse into a narrative filled with music, camaraderie, and a quest to make their voices heard. The trailer signs off with a profound message - 'You are never too young to change the world', leaving audiences curious and yearning for the full narrative to unfold.
The Archies is releasing on Netflix on December 7, 2023.
