Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul visit Ujjain and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, who tied the knot last month in Khandala, were recently seen following a spiritual path in Ujjain. The couple visited the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in the town and was seen performing rituals around shiv-ling. While Athiya was seen in ethnic clothes, KL Rahul performed the necessary customs in dhoti and a veshti (long scarf for men) on the shoulder (melveshti). Photos of the couple in the temple found its way on social media as it went viral.

In one of the video clips from the Mahakaleshwar temple that found its way on social media, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty were seen within the temple performing pooja on the shiv-ling (idol) and offering garlands and completing their prayers. Also, besides seeking blessings, the couple also attended Bhasmaarti during their visit. Photos of the couple attending these rituals as well videos of the pooja that the duo performed have gone viral on social media.

 

 

 

From what we hear, the couple decided to go and seek the blessings right before India’s big match against Australia on March 1. The Mahakaleshwar temple is considered to be one of the most spiritual and religious places in India and is often visited by many celebrities to seek blessings from the deity.

 

 

Readers would be aware that Athiya and KL Rahul, who have been dating for about three years, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Shetty’s Khandala Farmhouse in Maharashtra. While the couple came out to meet the paparazzi right after taking the ‘pheras’, the families announced that their reception will be held a few months after the wedding ceremony. This decision was taken by the families owing to the big IPL season that will be coming in the next few weeks.
