BH Hangout EXCLUSIVE: Vicky Kaushal says Katrina Kaif “hated” clean-shaven look; reveals how he is making up

Ahead of the release of Sam Bahadur, Vicky Kaushal appeared in the latest episode of Bollywood Hungama’s Hangout. For the unversed, BH’s Hangout provides a platform for fans to meet and greet their favourite stars. During the candid chat at the show, Vicky Kaushal revealed that Katrina Kaif “hated” his clean-shaven look.

The actor was asked to share Katrina’s reaction to the first look of Sam Bahadur. In response, Kaushal asserted, “She was very happy to see the look of Sam Bahadur and the kind of work that was going behind it. She was aware of the whole process of the shooting. It didn't come as a surprise to her, but she hated me when I was clean-shaven.”

 

Concluding the answer on a lighter note, the URI actor added, “But I am making up for it this year with the look I have. But she loved the look of Sam Bahadur.” Readers may know that lately Vicky has been snapped supporting a beard look.

 

In the same conversation, the 35-year-old actor revealed that he has opted for the beard look for his upcoming film, Chaava. The film, which will be based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will be his second collaboration with director Laxman Utekar. Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that earlier the filmmaker had also spoken about the film in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama.

 

 

In June this year, Utekar told us, “Vicky has begun his training for horse riding and sword fighting. He needs to gain a lot of weight. His training is currently in progress.”

 

Coming back to Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar, it is slated to release on December 1. It will be clashing with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Besides Vicky, the forthcoming film also stars Dangal girls, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, among others.
