Bollywood shares its views on the death of Osama Bin Laden
It was by far the most talked about event yesterday, and by the looks of it, the news of Osama Bin Laden being finally eliminated will be the talking point for quite sometime. Like everyone else in the world, our B-Town celebrities too had views to share about this event and they revealed their thoughts and opinions on twitter. We take a quick look at what our celebrities had to say:
Bollywood shares its views on the death of Osama Bin Laden
Mallika Sherawat: "A certain kind of closure, esp 4 Americans. hopefully now healing begins, wars end. i pray"
Mahesh Bhatt: "With the death of Osama the narrative of Al Qaeda has come to a dead end! US may now exit Afghanistan claiming that their mission is over."
"While you 'rightfully' celebrate the killing of Osama Bin Laden. Who will hang the other terrorist GEORGE 'BUTCHER' BUSH."
Neha Dhupia: "Phas gaya re osama!"
Ram Gopal Varma: "Aftr hearing bout wher osama was al these years won't b surprised if Dawood is livng in a bngalow in bandra among neighbours of Sharukh khan"
"Whatever the future of terrorism is after the death of osama I am right now so very very very happy fr America..3000 CHEERS!!!"
Ranvir Shorey : "The US has just pulled the proverbial 'rabbit' out of Pakistan's 'hat'."
"Maybe the US will start thinking things through, along with celebrating the killing of monsters they themselves create in the first place."
Bipasha Basu: "Watching very moving visuals frm Newyork nw n during 9/11.Big Day!Seeing a lot of ppl get closure to what happened to them.1 terrorist less!"
Sophie Choudry: "4 me the most surprising aspect is that Osama was only 70km frm #Islamabad livin in luxury!Confirms what many suspected..that he was in Pak!"
Vishal Dadlani: "I am not an Osama sympathiser.. But wearing an army uniform and unleashing atrocities on a country also makes you a terrorist. If we categorised Musharaf as a terrorist dictator who organised attacks on India.. How is Bush any different. This is not an anti-american sentiment. But you can't just disregard the UN security council and invade countries without any solid evidence (Iraq!). Kill thousands of innocents and then turn round n say 'oops.. We were wrong... There aren't any weapons of mass destruction here!! Just lots n lots of oil!!' Official terrorism needs to be stopped too!"
Kunal Kohli: "The U.S does a covert operation in Pakistan, with their support & gets Osama, why can't we get the Mumbai serial blast & 26/11 masterminds ?"
Minissha Lamba: "Osama is Dead. 2nd term guaranteed 4 #obama. Trust American's to steal d world's attn away from d #RoyalWedding. Interesting timing."
Shekhar Kapur: "Osama became the mythical dark force that the US rallied against. It no longer matters tht he is/was dead or alive. Surely US would have wanted Osama alive not dead. Something wrong. Hope Indian Govt gets Dawood alive. If they have nothing 2 hide"
Punit Malhotra: "So they finally kill Osama 90kms from Islamabad. You really think the ISI wasn't hiding him??? He stayed near a military base!!! Anyway, cheers to the US. They finally managed to do what everyone had given up on... perhaps a lesson for India? They go to Osama & kill him. We on the other hand have made Afzal and Kasab our guests. Wonder when we will hang them??? Will we ever be able to go in and kill the 26/11 planners??? Feels strangely good to see a dead Osama but feel the war isn't over."
Rahul Bose: "Am hoping a sense of balance is maintained in the US at the osama news. Closure is good, revenge isn't."
Ameesha Patel: "Hope the news is true about osama being dead. N it isn't an impostor that monster capable of anything."
Dino Morea: "Hello Tweeps, strange feeling Osama still lurking somewhere, and planning something bigger."
Madhur Bhandarkar: "Since Osama Bin Laden is dead, now may the World Rest in Peace (R.I.P)"
