Bollywood to bat for Narendra Modi? Not so fast

There are reports in sections of the press that on May 26, to celebrate two years of Narendra Modi's government, the three Khan superstars Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir are expected to attend a big event being organized at the India Gate in Delhi.

However sources close to the Ministry Of Information and Broadcasting pooh-pooh this claim saying the attendance of the three Khans has not been confirmed.

"Invitations to attend the function have been extended a whole lot of A-listers in Bollywood including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan & Kajol, Anil Kapoor, Shekhar Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. But they have not confirmed their presence at the event," says the source.

It is unlikely that any A-lister would say no to an invitation from Narendra Modi.

"True," says the I & B source, "But some of them are engaged elsewhere. We hear Salman Khan and Aamir Khan would be shooting for their film. So to say all the three Khan superstars will be present at the function is premature."
