Just a few hours ago, we reported about the commencement of Nikhil Advani's production Airlift which went on floor in Mumbai today. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the lead and he is paired with The Lunchbox fame actress Nimrat Kaur for the first time in this film.

Airlift, which is about the evacuation of Indians trapped in Kuwait by a Gulf based millionaire when Sadam Hussein declared a war in the 90s, will feature Akshay Kumar as Ranjit Dayal, the wealthy businessman and Nimrat Kaur as his wife. Excited about her first big budget film in Bollywood, Nimrat was all praises for her co-star. She also mentioned that the two will be sharing quite a bit of intimate scenes in the film.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar is really impressed with the storyline and concept and despite a busy schedule, the actor has already slotted his dates for the film.
Airlift is produced by Nikhil Advani in association with Cape of Good Hope and T-Series and it is directed by Raja Krishna Menon. The film is slated to release on January 22, 2016.
