Ektaa Kapoor RESPONDS to netizen asking her to stop making “Adult films”

Ekata Kapoor, the prolific producer known for her contributions to the Indian entertainment industry, made a brief return to Twitter, now known as X, and engaged with her online community in an Ask Me Session. During this interactive session, she addressed various topics, including her recently released film, Thank You For Coming, and responded to some pointed remarks from fans.

One question that garnered significant attention on social media came from a Twitterati who urged Kapoor to "stop making adult movies" with folded hands emoji. Unfazed by the comment, she responded with wit, saying, "No, I am an adult, so I will make adult movies." Her confident and humorous reply showcased her resilience in the face of criticism.

 

 

 

Another user accused Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar of having "ruined the nation," to which she simply replied with a thoughtful "Hmmmmmm!" The user went further, suggesting that both Kapoor and Johar were responsible for the rise in divorce rates in India. Ekta Kapoor responded again with "Hmmmmmmm hmmmmmm," maintaining her composed demeanour.

 

 

 

During her Twitter stint, Ekta Kapoor also shared her perspective on "Thank You For Coming." She described the film as a "little mad movie" made by her partner Rhea Kapoor. She mentioned that the film doesn't aim to "smash patriarchy" but instead "tickles with feathers under its nose so all the nonsense gets sneezed out." Her candid note highlighted her unique approach to storytelling.

 

 

 

Thank You For Coming is a collaborative effort between Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor's Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network Pvt Ltd. The film, directed by Rhea's husband, Karan Boolani, features an ensemble cast including Bhumi Pednekar, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, Shibani Bedi, Shehnaaz Gill, Karan Kundrra, and Anil Kapoor.
