EXCLUSIVE: Aditya Narayan recalls being alone in childhood; reveals the ‘only gripe’ he has, watch

Singer and Television host Aditya Narayan has never shied away from speaking about his bond with his singer father Udit Narayan. Recently, in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, the singer shared the details of how his parents encouraged him to pursue a career in singing while revealing the only “gripe” he has.

The singer started by saying, “I feel very lucky that even before I kind of gained consciousness, I knew what I wanted to do in life. I knew that music would play a very important part of my existence and thankfully because my parents were also musicians, they were very encouraging about it.”

 

The performer further added, “My childhood was great there. I mean I was a little alone during my childhood, that's the only gripe that I kind of had because my parents were very busy. It just so happened that uh my father hit his professional stride as soon as I was born. Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was his first hit. He came to Mumbai in 1978 and the film was released in 1988. So after 10 years of struggling, he finally gave a hit, won his first award and then of course there's no looking back.”

 

 

He also spoke about his mother being an air hostess and his parents didn’t have money at that time to hire a caretaker or staff to look after Aditya. Thus, music eventually became his best friend, and through it, he connected with other people including some of his friends.
