EXCLUSIVE: Rajkummar Rao REACTS to Stree 2 being called “Indian Avengers”; says, “It’s a win for Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan”

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, renowned actor Rajkummar Rao shared his thoughts on his blockbuster film Stree 2 and addressed some intriguing questions about the movie’s comparisons to the Avengers.

Rajkummar Rao on Stree 2 Comparisons

 

During the interview, Rao responded to the buzz surrounding Stree 2 being dubbed as the "Indian Avengers." He took the compliment in stride, highlighting that such comparisons are a testament to the film's success. “This is a good thing,” Rao said. “If we have made an Avengers in such a low budget, it’s a win for Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan.”

• On Choosing Between Stree and Sarkata as a Best Friend: “I think Stree because she has a soft corner for me. In part one also, I cut her pony but she didn’t hurt me,” Rao shared.



 

• On What Stree 2 is Incomplete Without: “Amar Kaushik (director) and Dinesh Vijan (Producer),” Rao noted.



 

• On Swapping Lives with a Stree Character: “I am okay with Vicky. He is very chill,” Rao mentioned.



 

• On Adding or Changing a Plot in Stree or Stree 2: Rao expressed satisfaction with the current storyline, saying, “Nothing. I like Stree as it is.”





 

• On Keeping Bhediya Away from Shraddha Kapoor’s Character: Rao jokes, “Varun is my friend. And, six years ago I did 'Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe' with Kriti Sanon. So, he also deserves to do 'Khoobsurat.'”



 

 

A Peek into Future Projects

 

When asked about his potential cameo in Vampires of Vijay Nagar, Rao remained tight-lipped, responding, “I can’t say.”

 

Regarding future sequels, Rao was uncertain whether Bhediya 2 or Stree 3 would hit theatres first. He mentioned, “Maybe Bhediya 2 because Bhediya 2 has not released but Stree 2 did. Amar has a basic idea for Stree 3. It will be made for sure. We will try to make it better than part 1 and 2.”

• On Being Scared of Ghosts: Rao admitted, “If I encounter one for real, I won’t be like ‘come here what’s your problem.’ Of course, I will try to avoid it.”



 

• On the Best Villain Between Stree and Sarkata: Rao expressed a personal preference for Stree, saying, “I like Stree. She is very sweet, wears a pink saree with a half veil. She scares me and calms down too when she looks in my eyes. Stree is my mother-in-law.”



 

• On Chemistry with Co-Stars: Rao appreciated both his on-screen chemistry with Shraddha Kapoor and his camaraderie with Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, stating that each relationship is unique.
