EXCLUSIVE: "Shah Rukh Khan the actor is who I fell in love with when I saw him on screen; He'll always be my eternal favorite," says Darlings star Alia Bhatt

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has been awaiting the release of her next outing Darlings. The dark comedy drama, which also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew, is scheduled to debut on the Netflix on August 5. Alia, who is also a producer on Darlings alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, has been in a promotional spree for her forthcoming film and during the course, the actress answers to some interesting rapid-fire questions.

In one such exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, when asked to choose between Shah Rukh Khan the producer and Shah Rukh Khan the actor, an indecisive Alia laughs and answers, “Shah Rukh Khan...I don’t know. Shah Rukh Khan the actor I guess. I mean why I should have to choose between the two of them. Shah Rukh Khan the person.”

 

“Shah Rukh Khan the actor is who I fell in love with like when I saw on screen and he'll always be my eternal favorite,” she explains. “Yeah, he’ll be my eternal favorite as an actor.”

 

Netflix’s Darlings will mark Alia Bhatt’s first film as a producer. The actress will also appear in the much-anticipated fantasy drama Brahmastra by Ayan Mukerji, which will be her debut film alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor. The film, which will arrive in theaters on September 9, will also star Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy.
