Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar took to social media to share a heartwarming picture with his complete family during his elder daughter Shakya's convocation ceremony at Lancaster University. The snapshot captured the presence of his wife Shibani Dandekar, ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani, father Javed Akhtar, Javed's wife Shabana Azmi, and Farhan's mother Honey Irani.

On Tuesday, Farhan posted the family portrait on his Instagram account. The first image featured his entire family, including both Javed Akhtar's wives and Farhan's ex-wives. In addition, Farhan shared a video from the ceremony showcasing Shakya receiving her college degree on stage. The carousel also included three more photos, featuring Shakya posing with her parents Farhan and Adhuna, as well as her grandparents Javed and Honey, respectively.

 

In the caption, Farhan congratulated his daughter and expressed his pride in being present as a family to celebrate her achievement. He encouraged Shakya to continue striving for success, stating, "Onwards and upwards... the world is yours." Farhan also mentioned the absence of two family members from the reunion, his sister and filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, and his younger daughter Akira Akhtar.

 

 

 

Zoya Akhtar, commenting on the post, expressed her joy for Shakya's accomplishment and playfully mentioned experiencing FOMO (fear of missing out). Other celebrities, including Farhan's Rock On co-star Arjun Rampal and director Abhishek Kapoor's wife Pragya Kapoor, sent their heartfelt congratulations to Shakya.

 

Farhan's ex-wife Adhuna, a hairstylist, and met during the making of his directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai. They tied the knot in 2000 and divorced in 2017, sharing two daughters, Shakya and Akira. Last year, Farhan married actor Shibani Dandekar.
