FIRST LOOK: Amitabh Bachchan sports a heavy white beard in Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who recently wrapped up Thugs of Hindostan schedule, is all set to begin his next film. The actor reached Hyderabad a day ago to begin shooting for Chiranjeevi’s multi-starrer period film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan have been friends for years. Now, they are collaborating on this massive period drama.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to share the first look from the film. He wrote, “Dear friend Chiranjeevi, majestic superstar and icon in the world of Telugu cinema, requests for a guest appearance in his magnum opus, on a most valiant period character that he portrays, and I agree.”

 

Sharing a photograph, the actor is seen sporting a heavy white beard in the black and white picture. He wrote, “This is not the final, but close.”

 

On Tuesday evening, Amitabh Bachchan reached Hyderabad to kickstart the shooting. Sharing a couple of pictures from his private plane, he wrote, "the sun sets over the skies of Hyderabad .. the aircraft sails through the clear skies onto the attractive and well kept tarmac and drive to the Hotel .. it is the day before we start work on Chiranjeevi film he produces and makes on a legend of Andhra."

 

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is bankrolled by Ram Charan and helmed by Surendar Reddy. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Sudeep and Nayanthara in pivotal roles. As Amitabh Bachchan explained in his blog, the film is a story based on the life of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. The film went on floors on December 6, 2017.

 

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for the release of 102 Not Out. Directed by Umesh Shukla, the film also stars Rishi Kapoor.
