Gaanth actor Manav Vij: “I strive to be authentic in every role”

JioCinema’s upcoming murder mystery series, Gaanth Chapter 1: Jamnaa Paar, featuring Monika Panwar, Manav Vij, and Saloni Batra, is set to premiere on 11 June. Directed by Kanishk Verma, the show revolves around a bizarre mass suicide case in the eerie streets of East Delhi, capturing both media and police attention. Manav Vij, who plays the lead role of a police officer Gadar Singh, shares his experience working on Gaanth and his relationship with the team during filming.

“On multiple occasions, I found myself giggling between takes and I had to control myself before the cameras started rolling again. There was one time when we had an impromptu plan for a dance-off during a break and I would surely like to mention that my moves are best kept off-screen!” Manav shared.

 

He further continued, “As an actor, I hope that viewers watch me as if I am genuinely embodying the character of Gadar Singh. I strive to be authentic in every role, and if the audience finds my portrayal honest and convincing, then I feel I’ve succeeded. That’s what keeps me motivated and passionate about my work.”

 

Gaanth Chapter 1: Jamnaa Paar will premiere on 11th June on JioCinema Premium.
