I for India Concert: Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan and more perform for a noble cause
The I for India concert, held virtually, saw the biggest names of Bollywood coming together with a three-fold motive. The vision for the concert was to entertain those locked down in their homes, pay tribute to those who are working on the frontlines and to raise funds for those who have no work and no home and do not know where their next meal is coming from.
I for India Concert: Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan and more perform for a noble cause
In the past, Bollywood has come forward with its best ability to aid those in need, and this was no exception. From Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana to Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and more, artists gave in their best.
We saw Ayushmann put reciting a poem written by himself, like he has in earlier occasions as well. "Corona se mar sakte hain par bhook se kabhi nahi/ Yeh awaaz tv par chalte Majdoor ki aasaani se dabi nahi/ Socha tha insaaniyat ekjut ho jaayegi/ kyunki jaan hai toh jahaan hai", his poem went.
Akshay Kumar also recited a poem, penned by Manoj Muntashir.
Varun Dhawan was seen matching the steps with Shiamak Davar’s dance gang, and evidently had great fun performing.
Tiger Shroff is usually seen performing dreamy steps of packing powerful punches. For the concert, however, he turned singer and crooned Theher Ja from Varun's film October.
Alia Bhatt and sister Shaheen Bhatt jammed on old Bollywood songs after delivering a heartfelt message, thanking the front-line workers.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan joined from their home and spoke about how crucial it was to lend emotional support to each other at this hour of crisis.
Music composer Pritam and singer Arijit Singh together sang 'Shayad' from Kartik Aaryan's Love Aaj Kal, and the actor cheered on social media.
Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao together crooned classing songs while Shah Rukh Khan's son AbRam made an adorable guest appearance during the father's performance
