Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and Ayan Mukerji get together with family for Ashtami

With the festivities of Navratri and Durga Pujo going on, the celebs are elated and have put their best foot forward in welcoming the goddesses home. Rani Mukerji even opened up about the fun she used to have as a kid when she went pandal shopping with her family. Celebrating Ashtami, Kajol took to her Instagram to share a few adorable family pictures.

Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Ayaan Mukerji, Tanisha Mukerji, Tanuja and Shomu Mukerji happily pose in front of the idols. Kajol even posted another picture featuring Ayan Mukerji and her family. The pictures are absolutely heart-warming and capture the true essence of Durga Pujo. Kajol posted them with the caption, “Wishing every one a very happy ashtami..... Jai Mata Di.”

 

Kajol, Ayan, Rani among others are active members of North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Charitable Trust. Speaking of attending Durga Pandal every year, Kajol said, "We are ardent followers of Ma Durga and we celebrate the Navratri festival with joy and passion. I think Ma is the biggest among all. We have a lot of fun celebrating this festival and we do service to her diligently over these nine days. I never ask anything from Goddess Durga. Whenever I visit a temple or seek the blessing of any god I feel, more than asking for anything, we should be grateful for whatever they have given us."

 

Kajol's mother, veteran actress Tanuja, further added, "I feel the traditions of our country are really important and if we don't follow them, what's the use of being an Indian? I feel Ma Durga is the mother of all. My mother-in-law taught me that spreading love among each other is the most important thing. This festival brings all of us together. There is an atmosphere of love over these nine days. No one thinks ill about each other and no is jealous of each other. We don't discriminate anyone on the basis of religion or caste. Everyone gets a warm welcome here."
