Katrina Kaif reveals about asking Zoya Akhtar to make a sequel to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Being one of the trendsetting films of all times, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a road trip drama which has gone to get a cult status. Katrina Kaif, who essayee the role of the leading lady of the film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, recently revealed that she often gets questioned about the film’s sequel. When she asked the filmmaker about making a second instalment, the latter had an interesting response to it.

With sequels receiving immense love from audience these days, Katrina Kaif recently opened up about the idea of making a second instalment to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The actress, who is currently at the Red Sea International Film Festival, revealed to fans that she has already approached Zoya Akhtar with the idea but the latter is not yet convinced as the team believes that the film has gone to receive so much love that the sequel will be running high on expectations and that a film gets its second instalment only if there is the right story.

 

Speaking about the same, Katrina said, “All of us are always asking Zoya that make a sequel. Sequels should not be made for the sake of it. It has to earn it. It has to deserve a story being told. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is one of the films that has the possibility of an amazing sequel.”

 

On the work front, Katrina Kaif was last seen in the Salman Khan starrer spy entertainer Tiger 3. The actress is currently gearing up for the Sriram Raghavan’s unique thriller Merry Christmas, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi. Katrina is also expected to have signed Tiger Baby and Excel Productions’ Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra Jonas but the film’s status is yet to be determined.
