Lust Stories 2: Kajol, Angad Bedi, Mrunal Thakur, and Tillotama Shome join cast of Netflix film

Streaming giant Netflix’s original anthology Lust Stories had managed to create an audience for itself. Earlier, this year, the second instalment was confirmed. While so far, only Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma were confirmed to play the leads in one of the segments, it is said that Kajol, Angad Bedi, Mrunal Thakur, and Tillotama Shome have also come on board to be a part of the forthcoming film.

A report by Pinkvilla has stated that going by the theme of the show, the makers plan to release on a Friday that is closer to Valentine’s Day. The report further added that an official announcement about the same will be made soon. Shedding some light on the casting, the report said that Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma will headline Sujoy Ghosh’s segment in Lust Stories 2.

 

Meanwhile, R Balki had roped in Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi and Neena Gupta for his portion. On the other hand, Kajol will feature in Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s part of the series. And, Konkona Sen Sharma had locked Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subhash for her short. The portal concluded by saying that the show is currently in the post-production stage.

 

However, it is worth mentioning that neither the OTT platform nor the actors stated above have confirmed the report.

 

For the unversed, the first instalment, which was released in 2018, the anthology film had four short film segments directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar. Co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP and Ashi Dua of Flying Unicorn Entertainment, the film had an ensemble cast, including Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala and Kiara Advani with Akash Thosar, and Vicky Kaushal, among others.
