Post Shweta Bachchan Nanda's father-in-law Rajan Nanda’s funeral, Amitabh Bachchan pens a heartfelt note for his samdhi

Just a few days ago, we had reported that veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan had taken a break from his shoot schedule of Brahmastra to fly down for the last rights of his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda's father-in-law Rajan Nanda. After attending the late Rajan Nanda’s last rights and funeral function, Bachchan as is his norm took to his blog sharing his thoughts and feelings with his fans. On this particular instance while also sharing some images the megastar penned a few heartfelt words that depicted his emotions.

Adding the same on his blog with the images, Bachchan wrote, “देहिहि अनल न दहि सकइ , भेइ सकइ नहिं नीर , सोखि न सकइ समीर तेहि , भेदि सकइ नहिं तीर । - जनगीता, 2, “बच्चन” आत्मा को आग नहीं जला सकती , भिगो सकता नहीं पानी, सुखा नहीं सकती हवा उसे , भेद सकता नहीं तीर । The soul cannot be burnt by fire, nor drenched by water, Nor dried by the wind, nor pierced by an arrow... the thought therefore is that ‘atma’ is eternal .. the soul is eternal and therefore rests in peace”.

 

 

Concluding his post with a narration of the sombre ceremony, Amitabh Bachchan added, “..  prayers .. condolences .. the ‘pagri’ ceremony .. folded hands in gratitude .. the elder of the family has gone .. the next elder has been given the ‘pagri’ of its seniority .. the soul is eternal and hence in peace .. what has passed cannot be brought back .. ‘जो बीत गई  सो  बात गयी’ ।।”

 

 

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in Thugs Of Hindostan with Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is scheduled for Diwali 2018 release.
