RIP Lata Mangeshkar: “I will forever cherish the honor of having shared precious moments with you” – Shraddha Kapoor remembers her ‘Aaji’

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor paid tribute to her 'Lata Aaji’, her late grandmother Lata Mangeshkar. The Saaho actress shared a throwback selfie with the iconic musician on social media.

She penned, “I will forever cherish thehonorr of having shared precious moments with you. Your hand on my head, your warm gaze, your loving words of encouragement. Thank you for your simplicity, divinity, excellence and grace. Truly The Greatest of all time! I You Lata Aaji.”

 

 

 

Shraddha also posted a few old photos of Lata, who died on Sunday at the age of 92 after suffering from multi-organ failure. Lata's first cousin was Pandit Pandharinath Kolhapure, Shraddha Kapoor’s maternal grandfather.

 

Padmini Kolhapure, Shraddha's aunt and former actor, mourned Lata's passing and warmly recounted how she was awestruck by the great singer as a child. She claimed that the late artist would lavishly shower her and her sister Shivangi with presents. The Prem Rog actress also remembers the legendary singer as a down-to-earth individual who was engrossed in reality television.  Padmini's grandmother was a sister of Lata's father, Dinanath Mangeshkar.
