Shah Rukh Khan turns 58: Saira Banu pens heartfelt birthday wish; says, “ I will forever cherish the memory of how…”
Veteran actress Saira Banu has penned a heartfelt birthday wish for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, drawing parallels between him and her late husband, legendary actor Dilip Kumar.
In her message, Banu wrote, "Dear Shahrukh, I have consistently expressed, and I will reiterate, that if my son were here, he would have looked just like you. Your profound admiration for Dilip Sahib and me was evident in all our encounters.”
The Junglee actress further added, “During one of these cherished meetings, you humbly sought my blessings and initiated this tradition of seeking blessings with the touch of my hand on your hair. I will forever cherish the memory of how in moments of utter grief, you were the first person to offer your comforting presence."
Banu concluded her message with warm wishes, saying, "May Allah always bestow his blessings upon you. Happy Birthday, Shahrukh!"
In addition to the heartfelt birthday wish from Saira Banu, Shah Rukh Khan also received an outpouring of love from his fans on his birthday. At midnight, fans began to gather outside his residence in Mumbai, and the superstar showed up post-midnight to greet the massive crowd.
Keeping up with the traditions, Shah Rukh Khan came to the balcony of his house to wave at the crowd and do his signature arm pose. He also took to social media to thank everyone for the abundance of love.
In a tweet, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "It's unbelievable that so many of u come & wish me late at night. I am but a mere actor. Nothing makes me happier, than, the fact that I can entertain u a bit. I live in a dream of your love. Thank u for allowing me to entertain you all. C u in the morning...on the screen & off it."
